Our Last Day in Beijing

I am so sorry to say that we are leaving Beijing tomorrow. I really love this town and the country, and while all the others are looking forward to go home I do have mixed feelings. I could have stayed longer.....I really could.

Today we had yet another great day. We went to the Tian 'anmen Square. It was very foggy so we did not get the best pictures but nevertheless we got some. We made a group photo of the whole adoption group with a professional photographer, which we get as a souvenir. We also made some private photos. Max stayed in the hotel because now he started to feel uncomfortable. The throat hurts and his nose is running.

We did not enter the forbidden city which is directly in connection to the Tian 'anmen Square because it was so cold and several families with the small babies wanted to go home. There were also construction work going on, so we had to enter from another side and that was too complicated. A little disappointing but considering the really cold weather nobody felt really sorry for it.

After we arrived back at the hotel Carina and Ole went again to the shopping center. They bought plenty of gifts and stuff and came back 5 hours later, just in time to reach our last dinner at the hotel buffet.

Now we are packing, the little one is in bed - but NOT sleeping and the big ones are watching tv.

We will pack in the computer now, so next time we post, it will be from Norway. Our plane leaves Beijing at 4 pm and we will travel for 9 hours - 7 hours backwards in time, and arrive in Copenhagen at 6 pm. The next flight leaves at 8 pm and we are in Oslo at approx 9.30 pm and home at midnight i guess.

I wish you all a very nice day and look forward to communicate with you by other means then the internet again.

Thank you for spending your time here on our blog. It was fun writing it and from your comments I understand it was interesting reading it too from time to time. And as a German native speaker, living in Norway and writing in English I hope you overlooked the  mistakes I made.....

We will come back....and post more....we promise.

Dere får være velkommen hjem. Nå har jeg oppdatert meg litt og lest gjennom et par sider med blogg. Morsomme bilder og pene barn, Beate. Glad det ikke er meg som skal sitte på flyet så lenge.
