But it has been a great day.
We started with an enormous Christmas breakfast. It was just so huge!! We were all so full after breakfast we almost couldn't move. Then 3 hours later we went for Christmas lunch! This was even MORE enormous then the breakfast. 10 different dishes, including especially prepared Peking Duck and lovely duck formed desert cakes. We where rolling out of the restaurant.
Later today all families gathered on the 11th floor in our lounge and celebrated Christmas with a lovely Christmas cake which our sweet guide Angela especially ordered for all the babies. The babies LOVED the cake, no matter how old they were (the youngest are 7 months the oldest are 20 months). We played and sang Christmas songs until the children got tired. Of course Ole served Chinese Christmas beer to everybody
Now the rest of the guys are sitting together in the lounge drinking beer and playing cards and talk while the mommies keep an eye on their sleeping beauties - except us of course. Our sleeping beauty is quiet an awake beauty....hopefully she will fall asleep soon. Max and Carina are now sitting next to me on the bed watching a movie, while Yasmin is lurking from the bedside.
We do adore our little cute princess and everything is going smoothly except for the bedtime routines. She HATES to sleep and we still need about 2 hours to get her to sleep. In addition she now got a heavy cough and wakes up in the night because of that. Last night I was up about 10 times. She falls asleep again but wakes up. For this night I got some "magic Chinese medicine". Hopefully she will sleep better this night. Now I have caught the cold and my head aches. But also I have got Chinese medicine and I was promised to feel completely new tomorrow. Then we are heading for the great wall.
I wish you a lovely Christmas day with your families. We wish we could be with our families but we have many joint Christmases to come.....
LOVE from
Ole, Beate, Carina, Max & Yasmin
