BEIJING

Now we are finally in Beijing. The plane ride took about 2 hours but all in all we did not arrive at the hotel before 8 pm. After a delicious dinner in the hotel restaurant we went back to our rooms. We do have two rooms now, unfortunately without a connection door. The rooms are next to each other, but this does not help. We do live two separate lives now. Ole and Carina in one room and Max, Yasmin and me in the other. At least WE got the computer (hehe).

The view from our hotel window is not as nice as in Wuhan, but the hotel itself is much more elegant. It even has water in the swimming pool. The Christmas decoration is elegant and the food excellent.

Tomorrow we start sightseeing at 10 am. This is HORROR for the Hallgren family, who LOVES lazy mornings. 10 am is almost night for us, because that means we have to get up at 8 at the latest do make it on time. I thought I was on holiday....

Sweet Yasmin is doing fine. She slept during the whole flight and kept me awake until now. Finally 5 minutes ago she fainted!! I struggled so hard to get her to sleep but i guess she has the impression the bed is a big playground. Once I put her to bed she gets ALIVE. She sings, kicks, laughs, talks, throws everything out of the bed and tries to jump after... this can go on for 2 hours....exhausting, but as long as this is the only problem, we can live with it.

Today when we arrived in Beijing we joined the other adoption couples. Here we heard a lot of different stories. About children who only want to accept daddy, children who cry almost the whole time, children who are angry or jealous. In that case we really feel lucky. Having Yasmin is so much fun. And we see, she is enjoying too being together with us. It is really funny to say it again, but she only smiles and laughs.

So dear friends, now it's time for me do go to bed. Max is waiting desperately to meet his friends on msn and I will fall into my bed.

Have a nice day!
